To mark the move to our new hospice this summer, we are excited to announce the launch of our brand new, exciting festival for the whole family - LakeFest! Taking place right next to the new hospice by Bray Lake, the event will offer live music, entertainment, food, drink and much more on Saturday 6 June 2020.
Our annual Sunflower Walk will also take place for the first time around our new home from 10am. The in-memory walk is open to all ages and abilities, with a choice of 2.5k, 4k or 10k routes all starting and finishing at Bray Lake
Throughout the afternoon there will be live music from local bands and DJs covering music from across the decades, followed by special headline performances from tribute acts The Ed Sheeran Experience and Amy G (covering the hits from Ariana Grande!). There will be lots of different activities throughout the day for festival-goers of all ages to get involved with, such as yoga, bhangra dancing and a children's area, and a vast choice of food and drinks from local suppliers to tantalize your taste buds.
Both of the events will offer Thames Hospice supporters the exciting opportunity to have a closer glimpse of our new hospice ahead of its opening in the summer. Every penny raised from the day will go towards the building of the new hospice, allowing us to care for even more local families for generations to come.
